Managing Director PMG/Mexico
Joan Puig is PMG’s managing partner in Mexico. He is an expert in organizational development, public and private sector management, and international development. His areas of expertise include good governance and rule of law, youth advocacy, education, and conflict mitigation. During his career, he has developed and implemented a wide range of initiatives throughout Mexico and South and Central America.
Among his many accomplishments, Mr. Puig has served as the Strategic Director for Safe Communities Mexico, sponsored by Sweden´s Karolinska Institute and the World Health Organization, for which he created and implemented courses in Law Enforcement, Citizen Safety and Violence and Crime Prevention Education, Health, Culture, and Sports. Prior to that and as part of the U.S.-Mexico Merida Initiative, he developed youth projects which involved more than 1,000 public primary school students and 1,000 secondary school students and teachers around youth violence and drug addiction prevention.
In addition to his work with PMG, he currently also serves as the Director for the Latin America and the Caribbean for Capital Humano D&C.
